The Amplitude effect module lets you change the amplitude (volume) of the selected sound.
You may use it to make a soft sound louder. However, be careful not to amplify the wave too much, or the sound will come out distorted because of clipping.
Be careful that if you make a sound softer, then you won’t be able to get it back to the original amplitude without losing some data. But if you really want to do this, then you can avoid losing much data by upsampling the sound (i.e. from 8 bits to 16 bits, or from 16 bits to 32 bits), working on it, and then downsampling the sound back to the original number of bits.
